When should I book my party?
Contact us as soon as you can to reserve your party date and time. Fridays and Saturdays tend to book up first, but we're available to do a party for you any day of the week. You can also call us at 925.864.2354.

What is the cost for a Intimate Pleasure Party?
There is no charge. Our hostesses actually earn free products based on the total sales the night of the party. However, IPP does require a $25 deposit to hold the date for a party in the San Francisco Bay Area (including Sacramento, Stockton and Modesto). Parties that are either farther north or south require a $100 deposit to hold the date. We refund the reservation fee to you the night of the party in the form of a credit towards your purchase as long as the party nets $300 in sales. If the party is less then $300, your deposit is given to the Intimate Specialist to help defray her costs for your party.

If I host a party -- what is expected of me?
You provide the place for the party and invite your friends and associates. We prefer a minimum of 10 – 20 guest to guarantee a successful Intimate Pleasure Party. Depending on the theme you have selected for your party, our Intimate Specialists will bring a wide variety of high quality adult novetly products! Where possible, we prefer to have a private room or office where we can take orders discreetly and bag the products you and your friends purchase. Some products will require shipment as well.

You mentioned adult novelties - what about lingerie?
We have found through experience that like purchasing bras, lingerie is situation where you need to try it on before you purchase. Many years ago, a friend threw me a bachlorette party and I received quite a bit of beautiful lingerie. The problem I found when I received the gifts one size does not fit all due to our unique beautiful body shapes, thus just like bras you should be fitted for your lingerie. However, we work with speciality lingerie stores that may be able to cater to your needs. If a focus of a party is on lingerie and within the San Francisco Bay area, please call us, we will do everything we can to work out something special. There may also been slightly different minimums on the guest and deposit depending on your location.

How many people are required to be at the party?
Intimate Pleasure Parties prefers somewhere between 10 - 20 guests. This makes the party interesting and lively and allows for your Intimacy Specialists the potentially to earn enough income for their time and expenses. Be sure to over invite and tell your friends to bring a friend. We typically plan to be at your home for about 2 - 3 hours depending on the theme. If there are 20 people or more, the party and the order taking can run longer.

We will call you a few days before the party to confirm the amount of guests so we are prepared with enough party liturature and inventory for your party.

Do the toys come in the mail or do we take them home that night?
Intimate Pleasure Parties realizes that most people do not want to wait for their purchased adult novelties and accessories so we plan for it. We have two types of Intimnate Specialists, some do not carry product with them, but place your orders at the party. Others carry inventory and have it available on-site. Currently, our specialists located in Northern California carry inventory. All large items require shipping depending on your party theme. For Intimacy Specialists that carry inventory, plenty of unique high-quality products will be brought to your party, such as personal lubricants, massage oils, dildos, vibrators, and other adult noveltiies. (Plus if someone is at home waiting for you, you'll get a chance to try out what you bought!)

What type of payments do you take?
We take cash, personal checks and credit cards. We request an internet connection available if possible just simply to process credit card orders so your guests may take their purchases home with them. Personal check orders are accepted, but products require shipment for personal checks. Credit card purchases that cannot be authorized during the party, will have products shipped to the guest with a minimum shipping flat fee rate. Items that are not in our inventory, and may have larger bulk wait factors, will be shipped with an associated shipping rate.

What is the ordering process after presentation?
Privacy of each guest is extremely important to us. We request a private room to take orders. It is also very helpful if you have internet access as well for any credit card orders. We typically have anywhere from 2 - 5 of each of the items we feature on our party literature. We find that our customers enjoy knowing that we will actually have inventory with us and it makes the party much more exciting and better attended if they know beforehand that we will have their purchases right there the night of the party. (Backorders will be delivered to the hostesses’ home at no charge or can be shipped to individuals for around $10.00, generally priority mail, unless it is a DVD, which must go common carrier and may tend to be slightly higher for shipping.)

How long does the educational session & product presentation take?
Our Intimacy Specialist begins the event with an ice breaker game or two to relax party guests. Depending on the theme selected, a quick game gets your friends and guests warmed up for the educational portion of the presentation. We also bring inexpensive fun sensual gifts for the winners of the game(s) and any volunteers that participate in the educationsal presentation. The amount of time on the educational session depends on the theme, but averages around 30 - 45 minutes. The complete presentation takes approximately 1 - 2 hours depending on the amount of guests. Order processing takes around an hour. Due to the amount of time it for set up and tear-down before and after the event, most parties are between 3 and 4 hours total.

How can I have a successful party?

Plan in advance.
Send out invitations early either via postalmail or if you provide us with your guest list we will send the emails for you.
Be sure to let all of your friends and guests know the theme so they are prepared for the type of content that will be present.
Let your guests know that our it's not like sex ed in school, but much more entertaining as well as educational.
Prepare them for new ideas, concepts and techniques that may broaden horizations and open communcation.
Generate excitment about the party with the availability of inventory the night of the party where they will get to smell, taste, and touch what we have to offer.
Call your guests to remind them of the party a couple of days in advance! Get your RSVPs - cell text message reminders, email reminders, phone message etc.,.

What if we are planning a party for a bridal shower or bachelorette/bachlor or couples shower party?
Great! A pleasure party is perfect for birthdays, divorce parties, bachelorette or bachlor parties and bridal/couples showers.

However, we politely request that you ask your guests not to bring shower or other gifts to your party. We will work with you in advance to set up a gift registry for the party from the Intimacy literature. Your guest of honor may then select from the list of items available or from our on-line store as well. Your other guests may then select from that list for your guest of honor as our Intimacy Specialist will share the registry with them and they may place an order directly with the Intimacy Specialist. For situations of this nature, your guests will have the choice of sending home the guest of honor the gifts gift wrapped by us on the spot, or Intimate Pleasure Parities will gift wrap them with a card and send them to the guest of honor directly.

We can also set up the party so that the guest of honor receives some or all of the host/hostess credit. We are pretty flexible and the Intimate Specialist that is assigned to your party can work out all of those details with you before the party.

Is it O.K. if we have a stripper at a Intimate Pleasure Party?
We prefer that you ask the stripper to come to your party after we have finished our presentation. For example, if you start the Pleasure Party at 7, we would like to request that you ask the stripper to show up at 10:30 or 11. That is normally enough time for a very fun, relaxing presentation and enough time for our specialists to take the orders, fill them and then load all of the inventory before the strippers starts his or her show.

Does IPP do co-ed pleasure parties?
We are glad to do presentations for co-ed parties, however, these usually work best if they are couples and not co-ed singles and couples in their 30's or later for a more mature group of menn. The reason is that we have found many women are more comfortable at an all girls party simple due to the nature of the content. In general, many women are more comfortable sharing their experiences and asking questions in other women's company verus mens. For couples events, we really know how to cater to their needs and make it a really fun, exciting experience.
